While my parents were visiting, my Dad invented a character named Buk Buk Bedunga - mythical protector of the helpless, upon whom one can call when in a scrape. Typically, it seems, Buk Buk is most accessible when one is in a natural setting, among trees, rocks, maybe even streams. On some occasions, Buk Buk's daughter (whose name now eludes me) is also available for intercession, but Buk Buk does the lion's share of the protecting.
This morning, K told Brien -
"Buk Buk Bedunga lives at the very top of a high hill. You can only reach it by taking 3 planes!" She later went on to tell me in words and gestures how you'd use those three planes, travel over valleys, and up into the sky to reach old Buk Buk. I'm sure His Highness, Mr. Bedunga is quite pleased to know that children are still celebrating his majesty!
