If a corncopia of quips could be considered dietary fare, then K prepared an entire banquet today!
We went to Chik-fil-A with friends Jennifer and Max, the latter of whom was chomping at the bit to get into the play area to let the games begin. After a while of playing together, K exited the playroom to rejoin Jennifer and me, so she could get a little hydration. She had a few more bites to eat and listened in on our conversation.
After a bit, Jennifer asked, "don't you want to go back in and play some more?" To which K responded, "No, I think I've had too much fun... I'm burned out!" Hello, Nene, your vernacular's here!
On our way home from dinner tonight, K told me and B, "Before Jennifer goed today, she gave me a good idea." "What was that?," we asked (after reminder her that 'goed' isn't a word). "I am thinking that I should start going to TUMBLEBEES!" (That's Max's tumbling class) ;)
She decided that she wanted to bring her hat inside with her. It's topped with a little penguin who's kind of like a little stuffed animal. She said, "I love my penguin. I want to keep him warm. I'm going to bring him inside and put him under our blankets downstairs." Then, she hugged her hat and said to her penguin, "You're going to be all nice and clean, and there are [whispering, excitedly] pillows, too!"
She's a funny girl living in her own funny world!
