Our weather was fantastic this weekend, and we got to spend a good amount of time outside, enjoying it. This evening, after dinner, B and K were lying out on top of her slide, looking up at the crescent moon. B asked her, "What shape is the moon, little girl," expecting her to answer "crescent" or "circle" or something along those lines. Instead, she astonished him with, "It's different shapes, Daddy."
Yesterday, she was outside on the back deck, playing with her little shovel. She swung it, like someone swinging a baseball bat, and said, "Look! Like baseball!" It wouldn't be so surprising except that the only time she's ever even seen anyone playing baseball has been from the car, on our way to the Community Center on Tuesday nights, when we drive past a Jr. High where they have late-afternoon games!
