Good Mornin', Good Mornin'

Ah, mornings. They always come way before I'm ready after I've pushed it just a little to hard, working too late. Thankfully, B is always awake with the chickens, doing his morning rounds well before I've cracked an eyelid.

His special reward for this is that he gets to see K the moment she springs from the crib, fully revved-up and ready to go. About 1.5 seconds after she's awake, she starts talking and she pretty much doesn't stop for the next several hours.

This morning, B was in the shower, so K decided she would come awaken me in her sweet little way. Sometimes, there's no possible way for me to sleep through her max-volume greetings to the morning, but this morning she'd been quietly playing and I was trying to catch up from last night's late night.

She first presented me with one of her little blankets, using her most soothing and quiet morning voice. "Wake up, Mommy. How was your sleep?," she asked. She'd brought in a little magnetic case with Snow White on one side and her Prince on the other, both of whom were decked out to the 9s in very beautiful magnetic clothing. Sometimes, the Prince gets to wear Snow White's long yellow skirt and her flower garland, but today he was wearing his boots and formal blouse. She said, "Mommy, say, 'He's a handsome man!'" I said, "He's a handsome man!" She said, "Yes, he is a handsome man!"

She proceeded to rattle off a whole bunch of other funny, clever, and cute stuff that I was determined to remember and document, but it was lost in my morning haze. Nevertheless, the thought of her cute observation about the Prince tickled me and stuck with me long enough to write down.
