Maybe we shoulda named her Poly...

That's Poly as in Poly Syllabic...

I mean, there are definitely ways in which Mighty K lags behind... check our diaper bills and number of loads of soiled bedding and you'll know that potty training progress hasn't been too stellar.

But, when it comes to rattling off some big-time "college words," K is a contender with some kids her age cubed and older.

We were driving the other day, listening to Danny Elfman's So Lo album... somewhat to Brien's chagrin. He's not quite the Boingo-era Elfman fan that I am. I asked K to say, "Danny Elfman is COOL!" B chimed in, "Little Girl, that's a matter of opinion." I corrected -- "Actually, it's an incontrovertable fact!" I asked K if she could say "incontrovertable," and she happily obliged. I figured she should know the context of a big word like that, if she felt inclined to rattle it off, so I told her that it's something you say about something that is very true, like "Daddy's a good Daddy... it's an incontrovertable fact." She happily repeated that one, and gave a couple more "props" to my main man Elfman, and then we kind of forgot about it...

Three days passed. We were sitting at the table, eating. K said, basically out of nowhere, "Danny Elfman's cool. It's incontrovertable!" Then she said, "Daddy, you're a cool Daddy. It's incontrovertable!" No prompting, no reminding... just out of the clear blue synapse of her incredible head!

That's our girl.
She's cool.
It's an incontrovertable fact!
