Diner's Logic

We have a few family rituals...

Fridays, we volunteer at the shelter. Some Friday nights, Brien does BINGO to bring in money for the shelter, and, on those nights, we always go to Chipotle for a quick dinner. Sometimes, thereafter, I take K out for an ice cream. Otherwise, we usually just enjoy a dinner out on Fridays - just the three of us.

Today, on our way to the shelter, K says,"Mom, why isn't Daddy doing BINGO tonight?" I said, "Well, he did BINGO last week." And, why was she asking...? "Mommy, can we go to Chipotle tonight?" I said, "Well, I don't know. It's up to Daddy." She says, "Maybe we can go to Mongo's?" I said, "Well, let's wait and see what Daddy wants to do..."

Then she says, "Mom, we don't need to worry about Daddy. Maybe we can just go together ourselves!... if he wouldn't mind."

How's that for logic and premeditation?
