Live Animals

Brien slowed the car suddenly on our way to church today to avoid hitting a squirrel that ran into the street in front of us.

"Why did you slow down?," K asked.
"I wanted to make the squirrel still be alive," answered Brien.
"I love live animals!," said K.
We laughed. "A lot better than dead animals," quipped Brien.
"Yeah," said K, "I especially don't like dead horses!"
