Well, I guess this is the way it goes... they start talking, and you're amazed by each new word and phrase. You write the little gems down so they're preserved for all posterity. But what happens when almost everything your kid says either exasperates you, has you on the floor, rolling with laughter, or scratching your head, wondering "How in the world did she know that?"
That's the stage we're at now, so... before I forget these little beauties, here they go.
Lynelle to Heather: "Do you want me to make you some lunch?"
Heather to Lynelle: "No thanks, I'm not hungry."
Kirienne: "How can you possibly not be hungry?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~..........~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heather to Kirienne: "Look, monkey, they're square dancing!"
Kirienne to Heather: "Actually, Mommy, they are dancing in a circle!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~..........~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kirienne to Neil: "I think I'd like Peter Pan to come to my window tonight. I would let him in."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~..........~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heather to Kirienne: "Can you turn that down please?"
Kirienne to Heather: "I turned it off"
H to K: "Oh, you didn't have to turn it off, I just didn't want it so loud."
K to H: "Oh. Why did you not? Why did you not, Mom?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~..........~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More to come - I'm already forgetting! :)
